Urea is a common ingredient in cosmetics and is known to have a strong moisturizing and keratolytic effect. Being an active ingredient very well tolerated by the skin, it improves the texture and appearance of the skin through its exfoliating action. At the same time, urea removes flakes and moisturises dry skin.

Urea creams in the TIS Farmaceutic product range are created in various concentrations of urea to be more or less potent, depending on the case and individual tolerance.

Depending on the area where we want to apply the Urea creams, we choose different concentrations:
– For less sensitive areas such as hands, neck, chest, we can use a concentration of 15%.
– For tougher areas such as elbows, feet, heels, etc., higher concentrations of 30% can be used.
The higher the concentration of urea, the more emollient and exfoliating it becomes. At higher concentrations, the consistency of the cream becomes thick and hard.

INDICATIONS:
– Ideal for very dry and cracked skin with flaky areas, accompanied by itching, superficial lesions or irritations;
– Useful for dermatological conditions such as ichthyosis, atopic dermatitis or skin hyperkeratosis;
– Ideal for excessively calloused heels and for bald patches;
– Very useful for damaged and thickened nails (nail hyperkeratosis and nail psoriasis);
– Useful in onychomycosis, it softens, exfoliates and thins the affected nail and favours the penetration of antifungal actives.
